I fully support that choice as someone who loves power lines in photographs. There's a long tradition of including them going back to people like Walker Evans too. It definitely does. They can be really useful compositional elements too. Glad you enjoyed this one Clarence!
Hey Joel! Thank you, that's really great to hear! Could you please send me the image files for your projects to look through? Your website is having issues loading thing and keeps returning to the home page, so it's really hard to navigate and see everything. But from what I could see there's some stuff from several projects of them I might be interested in. You can use wetransfer.subjectivelyobjective.com to send them over.
Yeah I love Isaac's Architecture of Power stuff too. There an image from the project in both Investigations In Infrastructure and Everything Is Narrative. I'm looking into the logistics of how I could do more artist interviews to hear more about their processes.
I thought I recognized his work. I have both of those books. Love them. Excited to hear you’re looking into it. Would be fantastic to hear more about process.
You’re right! That was probably more of a subconscious choice since I wasn’t actively thinking of it, but I do really love images documenting industry. Glad you’re liking it though. I’ve published a survey called Investigations In Infrastructure, but that was a very broad interpretation of the theme. I would love to do something specifically focused on industry someday.
Alex Currie was a recent find for me on instagram, and to see more of their work featured here is a joy, lots of nostalgia for the Britain I grew up in.
Beautiful
Much appreciated!
I’ve fought to work around powerlines in my own photography, but this year finally accepted them. Makes life easier. Great photos from these sets.

Love the tires
Yeah me too Julian!
Been enjoying your newsletter. Would love to collaborate sometime as we have done previously.

Liked the Charlebois group, especially the gravesite.
Glad you enjoyed it. I absolutely love that one too.
I love this feature! Issac work in particular resonates. I’d love to hear more about other artists process.

That's to hear that you love both of them! I'll probably share more about my own process putting together my survey style book like those too.
That would be very interesting, Noah. I’d love to learn more from you.
I’ve just noticed that a lot of the work you have been sharing lately is documenting industry - is that a main focus for SO? (I like it)

I can't stop looking at the work from Markus Naarttijärvi, it's so good
Really happy to have been able to help you find a new favorite Liam!
